Sayans Ricardo Pereira was born in Santiago de Compostela on 23 January 1933.

At 21 he moved to live in Madrid where he formed first as a sculptor in the studio of Victor de los Rios (1909-1996). In his life in Madrid frequents art galleries, museums and youth meeting artists of the time.

In 1956 in an effort to see the world travels of the Mediterranean countries and Africa, where he falls for a special way by the light and landscape that was later reflected in his work. The latter dominates the human presence.

Returning to Madrid in 1959, is presented and Opposition approves teacher of technical drawing and art, being soon appointed professor and director of this specialty departameto, as he held until 2003. From this date his dedication has focused exclusively on the artwork in his studio in Santiago.

Over the years, combining professional and artistic work by several individual exhibitions in different cities of Galicia, Spanish and European. And samples collective.
